MONTHLY STATISTICS - August 2006

Airline passenger traffic in August at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2005.  In August 2006, the passenger enplanements were 26,770.  This is an increase of 12.2% when compared to the August 2005 passenger enplanements of 23,851.  This was the busiest August ever on record at Hector International Airport.  Total passenger count for the month was 53,122, which is up 11.7% over the same period last year. 

In August 2006, Northwest Airlines operated eight daily flights to Minneapolis with Airbus 319/320, DC-9, RJ85, CRJ aircraft, and two weekly non-stop flights to Las Vegas utilizing the Airbus A319.  United Express operated four daily flights to Chicago and four daily flights to Denver with the Canadair CRJ aircraft.  Delta Connection operated two daily flight to Salt Lake City with the Canadair CRJ aircraft.  Allegiant Air operates three-weekly flights to Las Vegas utilizing the 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft. 

Northwest Airlines had 54% of the market share, United Express at 33% Delta Connection at 7% and Allegiant Air at 6% with a daily average of 1,714 passengers both arriving and departing.
