MONTHLY & ANNUAL STATISTICS - December 2007

Airline passenger traffic in December at Hector International Airport showed a decrease as compared to the same month in 2006.  In December 2007, the passenger enplanements were 24,827.  This is a decrease of 2.7% when compared to the December 2006 passenger enplanements of 25,524. Total passenger count for the month was 50,329, which is down 1.4% over the same period last year.

2007 was the second busiest year in the airport's history. Allegiant Air (18,844 pax), United Express (98,618 pax) and Delta Connection (13,755 pax) all had record passenger enplanements.

In December 2007, Northwest Airlines operated eight daily flights to Minneapolis with Airbus A319/320, DC-9, EMB-175 and CRJ200 aircraft.  United Express operated four daily flights to Chicago and three daily flights to Denver with the Canadair CRJ200 and CRJ700.  Delta Connection operated one daily flight to Salt Lake City with the Canadair CRJ200 aircraft.  Allegiant Air operates three-weekly flights to Las Vegas utilizing the 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft and beginning on December 15, two weekly flights to Phoenix/Mesa operated with the 130 seat MD-87.

For the year 2007, Northwest Airlines had 56% of the market share, United Express at 33% Delta Connection at 5% and Allegiant Air at 6% with a daily average of 1,642 passengers both arriving and departing.  Also, 99.9% of all scheduled flights were on jet aircraft in 2007.
