ALL TIME ENPLANEMENT AND TOTAL PASSENGER RECORD

Airline passenger traffic in July at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2004.  In July 2005 the passenger enplanements were 26,309.  This is an increase of 8.8% when compared to the July 2004 passenger enplanements of 24,181.  Total passenger count for the month was 52,193, which is up 7.6% over the same period last year.  Passenger enplanements for 2005 in comparison from 2003 back to 1996 were 8.3%, 8.2%, 12.4%, 11.5%, 14.3%, 30.1%, 29.3% and 15.5% respectively.  

 

This is the all time enplanement and total passenger record for Hector International Airport.  The previous enplanement record was in July 1992.  July 2005 was the busiest month on record and nine of the previous ten months have also been the busiest on record.

 

In July 2005, Northwest Airlines operated eight daily flights to Minneapolis with Airbus 319/320, DC-9, and RJ85 aircraft.  United Express had three daily flights to Chicago and four daily flights to Denver with the CRJ aircraft.

 

Total aircraft operations increased in July 2005 as compared to the same month in 2004.  In July 2005, the total aircraft operations (take-off and landings) were 7,860.  This is an increase of 22.3% when compared to the July 2004 total aircraft operations count of 6,429.  General aviation activity accounted for 63% of the total aircraft operations; air carrier activity accounted for 24% and military activity accounted for 13%.
