MONTHLY STATISTICS - October 2006

Airline passenger traffic in October at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2005.  In October 2006, the passenger enplanements were 24,940.  This is an increase of 9.7% when compared to the October 2005 passenger enplanements of 22,731.  This was the busiest October ever on record at Hector International Airport.  Total passenger count for the month was 49,814, which is up 11.1% over the same period last year.

In October 2006, Northwest Airlines operated eight daily flights to Minneapolis with Airbus 319/320, DC-9, RJ85, CRJ aircraft, and two weekly non-stop flights to Las Vegas utilizing the Airbus A319.  United Express operated four daily flights to Chicago and four daily flights to Denver with the Canadair CRJ aircraft.  Delta Connection operated two daily flights to Salt Lake City with the Canadair CRJ aircraft.  Allegiant Air operates two-weekly flights to Las Vegas utilizing the 150-seat McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft.

Northwest Airlines had 58% of the market share, United Express at 32% Delta Connection at 6% and Allegiant Air at 4% with a daily average of 1,607 passengers both arriving and departing.
