Welcome to Hector International Airport - Fargo, ND
Hector International Airport today announced that Delta
Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is offering larger aircraft and
First Class service on flights between Fargo and its
Salt Lake City hub. The upgrade comes as Delta enhances
its schedule to provide two-class service on all
domestic flights longer than 750 miles.
"Passengers
traveling from Fargo to our hub in Salt Lake City can
now take advantage of two-class service on every flight,
an option that's particularly valued by our business
customers and members of our SkyMiles frequent flier
program," Melissa McLaughlin, Delta's national sales
manager for North Dakota. "It's part of Delta's
commitment to North Dakota, as the state's leading
airline."
From Salt Lake City, Fargo passengers can conveniently
connect to nearly 100 destinations worldwide, with
nonstop service to nine international cities, including
seasonal flights to Tokyo-Narita. Delta operates more
than 300 daily departures at Salt Lake City.
"We
appreciate the commitment Delta has made to our
community and surrounding region. The enhancement to our
Salt Lake City service will benefit our mutual
customers," said Shawn Dobberstein, Fargo Municipal
Airport Authority Executive Director.
The flights to Salt Lake City, operated by Delta
Connection carrier SkyWest, are on Bombardier CRJ-700
jet aircraft. Delta recently announced plans to upgrade
nearly 70 CRJ-700s with two-class cabins, as part of a
$1 billion investment in improving the customer
experience on the ground and in the air. Salt Lake
City served 20 million passengers in 2009 and currently
the 22nd busiest airport in the country.
