Airline passenger traffic in January at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2011. In January 2012, the passenger enplanements were 29,608. This is an increase of 2.1% when compared to the January 2011 passenger enplanements of 29,008.

This was the busiest January on record. The previous record was set in 2011.

Total passenger count for the month was 58,742, which is up 2.0% over the same period last year.

There were 567 air carrier departures in the month of January with a daily average of 1,895 passengers both arriving and departing.
