BUSIEST MONTH ON RECORD - SURPASSES RECORD SET IN MARCH 2010

Airline passenger traffic in March at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2011. In March 2012, the passenger enplanements were 37,700. This is an increase of 5.9% when compared to the March 2011 passenger enplanements of 35,588.

March 2012 broke the previous all-time boarding record by 3.1% set in March 2010 when there were 36,075 enplanements.  This month is the fourth record month and the busiest quarter ever on record at Hector International Airport with 99,905 enplanements.

Total passenger count for the month was 77,319, which is up 7.0% over the same period last year.

There were 634 air carrier departures in the month of March with a daily average of 2,494 passengers both arriving and departing.
