The escalator replacement project that began in January 2007 has just been partially completed. This portion of the terminal expansion/rehabilitation had the greatest affect on the traveling public.
The remaining portion of this phase will replace the
existing elevator with an updated cab and a more
accessible entrance. The updated elevator will take
approximately 4 weeks to complete and an elevator on the
east end of the passenger terminal will be used until

This expansion will add a third baggage claim and a new gate to the terminal. Once this is completed the terminal will be expanded to the north providing more departure lounge room and a much larger area for the security checkpoint. Work began today a portion of Cass County Drain 10 that spans through airport property. The ditch bank along the drain have held considerably high water for long periods of time which had caused portions of the ditch bank to slide into the bottom of the channel.
