The work accomplished will be completed in a timely manner and separate contracts will be negotiated for separate projects and additional work. The contracts will not be initiated beyond a maximum of five years from the date the contract is signed for the work expected to begin in CY2014.
The engineering firm selected must be familiar with Federal Aviation Administration standards and regulations and will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Opportunity Laws and Regulations and the Municipal Airport Authority's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Plan.
All contracts involving grant funds from the Federal Aviation Administration are subject to their review.
Information submitted for the anticipated projects shall be keyed to the firm's ability to perform the necessary services associated with airport related improvements. (i.e. organization, capability, experience, design approach, project understanding and past performance history).
Proposals will be accepted through 4 PM, September 17, 2013, after which the Municipal Airport Authority will set a time to interview selected firms. Interested firms shall submit eight copies of their completed response. The Municipal Airport Authority will accomplish the selection of the engineering firm for the projects. The selection criteria will be in accordance with the guidelines established in DOT/FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14D. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate.
