FARGO, N.D. (June 7, 2023) – This week, the American Association Airport Executives (AAAE) gathered for the 95^th Annual Conference in Denver, CO. AAAE was founded in 1928, and is the largest professional organization that represent those who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports.  

Shawn Dobberstein, Hector’s Executive Director, was appointed to the AAAE Board of Directors alongside nineteen other individuals. In this position, Dobberstein will contribute to help hold direct responsibility for establishing the policy and direction of the association with additional insight and input provided. “I am excited for this opportunity to represent Fargo, N.D. on a national level”, states Dobberstein. “This is a great opportunity for Hector International Airport to gain recognition from the aviation world” he continued. Those on the Board are vital in charting the course for the future of the airport industry while making voices heard on critical issues facing airports today.
