ALL TIME ANNUAL PASSENGER RECORD SET IN 2009
– 2009 was the busiest year in the airport’s history.
– 2009 annual passenger enplanements, deplanements and total passengers broke the previous record set in 2008.
– 6,592 total air carrier departures in 2009 or 18 average daily.
Airline passenger traffic in December at Hector International Airport showed an increase as compared to the same month in 2008. In December 2009, the passenger enplanements were 30,351. This is an increase of 7.6% when compared to the December 2008 passenger enplanements of 29,125.
Total passenger count for the month was 59,572, which is up 3.4% over the same period last year.
