Car Rental Agencies Plan to Build Service Facility

Posted August 14, 2001

The car rental agencies currently serving Hector International Airport have formed a partnership to build a car rental service facility.

Avis, Budget, Hertz and National are combining efforts to construct a 7,400 sq. ft. facility that will enable them to service their vehicles in close proximity to the passenger terminal. The four companies now service their vehicles at facilities located at the southeast portion of the airport.

The facility will have eight vehicle service bays, fueling facilities and a drive-thru car wash. The structure will be located west of the passenger terminal in what is now undeveloped land. Construction should start this fall.
