A New Logo with the same great service
You may notice something new with this quarter’s newsletter. We’re proud to unveil our new branding which reflects who we are today and where we’re headed with our exciting expansion. While our logo has changed, our mission remains the same- helping you take the easy way to getaway!
Terminal Expansion & Parking Garage Updates
Construction of the terminal expansion is in full swing and is on track to be completed in early 2027, with the eastern expansion project to be completed in early 2026 and the existing terminal renovation to be completed in early 2027. This expansion is funded by local, state and federal funds. Precast panel placement is nearly completed for the terminal. Precast panel placement for the parking ramp will start the week of Oct. 13. The parking ramp should be completed in late summer 2025. Both projects are on schedule.
We continue to kindly ask that travelers check our website and social media accounts frequently for important updates regarding parking, pickup and drop off locations.
Valet parking has also begun for $28/day. Passengers can drop their car with a valet attendant outside of the entrance to ticket counters. Operating hours are one hour before the first departure and one hour after the last departure.
Fargo Jet Center Unveils $25 Million Hangar and Offices
We helped the Fargo Jet Center celebrate the grand opening of its state-of-the-art, 112,000 square-foot hangar and office complex at the airport on Sept. 20. The $25 million expansion enhances the Fargo Jet Center’s maintenance, avionics and special mission services while increasing aircraft storage. The facility will also house the Weather Modification International, a global leader in atmospheric research. Designed to accommodate large corporate aircrafts like the Bombardier Global 8000, the new complex strengthens the Fargo Jet Center’s global capabilities and will boost Fargo’s economy by creating new aviation jobs.
All Time Passenger Enplanement Record
August marked our fifth enplanement record this year. The total record-breaking passenger count for August 2024 was 48,514 enplanements which is up more than 10% from the same period last year.
“The Fargo-Moorhead community and surrounding areas continue to choose the easy way to get away,” said airport executive director Shawn Dobberstein. “The positive trend in enplanements, along with our ongoing terminal expansion, prioritizes passengers and positions us to keep serving our region successfully for years to come.”
Travel Tips: Prepare for the Thanksgiving Holiday
The holiday season is quickly approaching! Here are a few tips from TSA on what can and cannot go in your carry-on luggage:
TSA recommends that you wait until you arrive at your destination to wrap gifts. Gifts may need to be unwrapped for additional inspection.
Solid foods are allowed with no quantity limitations. Liquid, creamy or spreadable food items must be in containers that are 3.4 oz or less. The containers must be placed in your quart-sized bag with other travel-sized liquids, gels and aerosols.
Any ice or ice packs must be completely frozen solid when presented for screening. If they’re slightly melted, slushy or there’s liquid in the bottom of the container, they must also be 3.4 oz or less and placed in your quart-sized bag with other travel sized liquids, gels or aerosols.
You can carry as many small bottles of alcohol (3.4 oz or less) as will fit in your single quart-sized liquids bag along with your other travel sized liquids.
